stereopi hats wtf ?

Post by zoldaten »

I was making a case to stereopi and got ready to put on new hat for it -
zero2go omni -http://www.uugear.com/product/zero2go-o ... pberry-pi/
It`s very convinient as one can power pi from different sources, correct shutdown and etc.

But i found out that GPIO header of stereopi is reverced !

While the standard GPIO header looks like this -

So i couldnt place a hat standard way -

I put it reverced ! Facepalm.

It working but now i can forget about cosy case ((
Pi-hat i connected is sticking out...

If the GPIO connector was the way around, the pi-hat would cover the camera connectors.
Since the cameras are primary functions with this board, it is probably better this way.

May be you`re right.
But with this - https://aliexpress.ru/item/1005001451035151.html
it`s easy to solve coverage problem.

@zoldaten JFYI, we fixed the GPIO position in the new board. As for the tall header mentioned - yep, this might be an option.
