camera angle question

i made a custom frame, to extend the baseline. and tilted both cameras outward 90'
can i still get the pointcloud with this kind of setup?

Yes, but there are better options. You see, each sensor has a 4x3 side ratio. By rotating it, you'll have 3x4, i.e., your image will be narrower, and image width is more important for the depth map than its height.
You can rotate each image 90 degrees after cutting the stereoscopic pair. This requires minimal code adjustment.
