Hi!

A bit early question, i now, but i am very excited about this new camera module 3 release with its autofocus natively on the libcamera. When, do you think, it will be possible to use a pair of those with its AF on the stereopi v2 camera kit?
I think with this, a new era of stereoscopic photography is here :)

The camera 3 module does not work out of the box.
Stereopi probably needs a new. blob.
Anybody know how to make one?

V3 camera is supported by the new video stack (libcamera), and is not supported by old (MMAL) stack used in SLP2.
It means you can use V3 with Python (new OpenCV image coming soon), but SLP update will take a long time. Old stack was optimized for stereoscopic capture and has a lot of other good stuff. With libcamera, we have a lot of challenges...

Hi,

is here any update? I still need an autofocus camera with a very large depth of field and FOV of 50.
