I am using a CM4 Lite (2GB, no eMMC) with a 32GB microSD SanDisk card - I have tried 3 different brand new ones purchased from two different stores, and they work on my Pi Zero W 2, CM4Lite on IO Board, and in a couple other devices. The cards appear to be perfectly fine.
I have tried the follow images using Raspberry Pi Imager v1.7.3 and v1.7.4:
- cosmostreamer-ng-stereopi.sdcard.img
- slp2-0.8.19.img (which after digging around I found is not compatible with CM4)
- slp2-0.11.19-2.img
All of them result in the same setup and behavior:
- Orange U-PWR LED is lit up
- Jumper connection for the board power, so that the following also light up: Green 5V, Blue BT, Green Wifi, and Red PWR. NO other jumpers are set, just the main POWER one by the USB-C port
- PI ACT light is either solid or rapidly flashing, notating it's actually got activity for processing
- After a bit the USB HUB LED turns on for less than a second, turns off, then ~10 seconds later the red PWR LED flickers while the BT and Wifi LEDs turn off, which I assume at this point it is rebooting. It does this forever as long as I have power plugged in.
For SLP2 I've followed the guide here: https://wiki.stereopi.com/index.php?tit ... ground_v2)
- I have configured cosmostreamer.conf to not broadcast in AP as instructed, and to use my own local wifi network
microHDMI output never outputs anything, it's just a dead signal. I've tried 2 different microHDMI -> HDMI cables as well as a microHDMI -> HDMI adapter, on 2 different working screens. No output. I've tried different USB-C sources, whether it's my beefy 100Wh one with USB-A -> USB-C cable, or an official Raspberry Pi (27W) 5V USB-C power adapter, or USB-C -> USB-C from my PC. All of them, with all of the above images, have the same exact behavior.
I then tested the same CM4 Lite on a Compute Module 4 IO board and it works just fine with a Raspbian OS, including wifi connection to my local network and full desktop usage. There seems to be no hardware problem with my CM4 Lite 2GB.
- Also note: I do NOT have a jumper connection on RPI BOOT or USB CLI as you had mentioned to check in the other similar thread here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1325 - only the main PWR one next to the USB-C port.
Extra notes about wiki guides and genuine confusion on my end:
https://wiki.stereopi.com/index.php?tit ... ground_v2)
- "The number of the latest SLP2 firmware version can be found here." - nowhere have I found a download for '0.18.12' or a version number that high anywhere. Where would anyone obtain such a version?
- This lists a dead link at 'The latest update of SLP2 can be downloaded here.' - https://cosmostreamer.com/apps/cosmostr ... reopi.csuf gives a 404
- Same concern about the section 'Updating SLP2' that has the same confusing/404 links as just mentioned above
https://wiki.stereopi.com/index.php?tit ... tart_Guide
- Same concern in here about the same links mentioned for the other wiki page
- "You can use the stock version of the RaspiOS Buster or earlier." - I cannot find the Buster image anywhere, it's like it never existed. No idea how to even obtain this. This seems years out of date from the info I can find about it.
Given I'm using the slim model without USB or ethernet ports attached and the behavior of the USB HUB light, I'm wondering if it has to do with the config.txt configuration setup having `dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host` set, so I'll begin experimenting with that and a few other config settings. So far though it seems like the StereoPi v2.02 board I have is just not working at all.
My goal was to get a continuous feed over wifi of the two attached cameras synced at the same time to a PC that can livestream the feed and use it for my wearable project, they don't even have to have distortion correction for VR/AR or anything like that, even a single combined feed of the two Side By Side would be great. I was hoping to figure this out but after a couple weeks in my spare time I've not been able to get this board to work in any capacity.
Any other directions on what else I can do to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: StereoPi v2.02 (Slim) endlessly reboots on CM4 Lite
Hello DaAuron,
All the latest CM4 get the newer firmware version, which was incompatible with the software in our stock images.
Now, both SLP and OpenCV images have been updated and should work out-of-the-box.
We've also updated WIki links to images and update files.
