[MOOT] Where does the SLPv2 image find its list of display modes?

The main display settings show a list of video output modes (HDMI, CVBS), and when HDMI is chosen, a list of HDMI modes. Where does that list of HDMI modes come from? How do I add additional items to its list?

My monitor's EDID dump lists several display modes that are not included in the menu drop-downs.
