We're developed a kit for the very quick case prototyping. You can assemble any case in a 10 minutes using just a screwdriver.

Hi,

I have purchased the anycase kit, i have the waveshare RPi I fisheye camera (https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/RPi_Camera_(I))

This camera does not fit with the anycase kit I purchased, even though it states it works for waveshare. Has waveshare updated their camera modules? I am very frustrated as none of the mounting options work.

Hi Bensailor,
AnyCase kit was designed for the V1, V2 original cameras and also for Waveshare G and M series.
As I see on the photo, this "I" camera has another wholes position... They have several "basic" PCBs for the cameras, and this one is different. As I can see, it is not compatible neither with a classic RPi cameras V1/V2, nor with the G/M series (supported by AnyCase).

Hi,

I have recently purchased an AnyCase kit.

My application requires that I make an additional large hole in the case to allow a strip of LEDs to shine through. Or atleast this is the best idea at present.

My plan would be to drill a strip of 5-8mm holes and gently join them up into a continuous strip with a fine tooth saw.

I drilled some trial holes today but the wood/composite tends to split on the exit side. I am wondering what the exact name of the material is so that I can look online and see if there are any tips to get cleaner holes by hand.

Shame it wasn’t made out of ABS plastic as simple mods would be much easier.

Hi Fraserbaton,
Yep, the plywood drilling without splitting on the opposite side is a tricky thing. You can google for the details.
ABS plastic is an expensive thing for DIY details. We are considering to use acrylic plastic (like for the camera mounting plates in our kits), but it also has some specific for the drilling...
Won't you mind if I suggest you one more AnyCase kit for free, as a spare part kit for your drilling experiments?

Hi Realizator,

That would be much appreciated if you wouldn’t mind?

I am only really after the 160mm length piece if that saves you wasting an entire kit for this?

How can we arrange this?
