auxiliary power supply

Post by bchamp »

Has anyone successfully installed a UPS (auxiliary power supply), ideally one with a real-time clock and sleep/wake timer? There’s several out there, so I thought I’d ask before trying.

We've not tested StereoPi with such a hats. Just want to say you one precaution. As a rule, most of these hats are designed to supply power by micro USB or GPIO of the raspberry Pi. In our case, micro USB on the StereoPi is not for power. So you need either not to use micro USB with this hat, or do a converter to connect this power to the StereoPi white power connector. As for GPIO power - you can use it, as power lines from the power source goes directly to the power pins (like 2th or 4th pin for +5V and 6th for the ground). Please take a look at the GPIO pinout in our Wiki.
