Re: Which chessboard for the calibration phase
Stereomaton, we use 6x9 chessboard, and image for printing is uploaded in both stereopi-tutorial and stereopi-fisheye-robot repos at Github. Here is a link to the image in a last repo: https://github.com/realizator/stereopi-fisheye-robot/blob/master/pattern.png I usually print it at A4 size. Also yo...

Re: SSH & VK on OpenCV image
Hi Stereomaton,
OpenCV image based on a stock Raspbian, with all default settings. May be you need to enable ssh in raspi-config. As you have no access to keyboard now, try to use GUI settings application to enable this.

Stereomaton, thank you for your proposal!
Luckily, we were able to find a developer several days ago. Yes, it was TOO LONG time for this search, and this surprises me and wildag. We hope that development will be done during August...

A robot on StereoPi with OpenCV
We just posted new article "A robot on StereoPi, part 1: fisheye cameras". The goal of this series of articles is to create a compact indoor robot that can navigate using stereo vision. Here we can discuss this project.

Re: Capcha registration
There are robots that post ads on the forum. Captcha do not work, because pawning a captcha is cheap (some people are paid around 1$/1000 to solve them instead of robots) In the past, I saw that adding a simple checkbox "I am not a robot" (not a captcha, a simple checkbox without external service c...

Re: Hardware power and transfering data
I'm sorry for asking again, but are the answers for this post on vir2real compatible with StereoPi or not? I'm not so good with linux and raspberry wizardry, so searched for some other posts about this and found it. http://forum.virt2real.ru/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=14736 Nope, as our board virt2real (...

Re: Hardware power and transfering data
Secondary, this is a working approach with video livestream and post-processing on receiving part. AR.js is a great example of such approach. We have a plans to do an experiment with livestream to the phone and add AR with AR.js as a proof-of-concept.

Re: google cardboard
At this moment our application has no such an option. You may try to turn on "decimate" parameter in administration panel as a temporary solution, as it changes FOV of a cameras and can make your viewing more comfortable.

Re: Not working cameras
Your config files are correct. While first boot S.L.P. image formats all free space on your micro SD to FAT 32. If you are using a very big micro SD card, it might take some time. But, as a rule, it is not a 5 minutes like in your case. "detected=2" means cameras answers to the system requests by I2...

Re: Sources of com.virt2real.stereopi
Hi Stereomaton, Well, it's a bit pain situation for us now. To say the true, we were planning to do native Oculus application (like discussed here https://forum.stereopi.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20), but we're with user Wildag are fully stucked with this, as we were not able to found appropriate dev...

Re: RPi Cam Control
It is compatible but how to convert from 2D to 3D? You can not "convert" it. By defaulf RPi Cam Control capures video only from a single camera. But for 3D you need to capture it from 2 cameras simultaneously. I think the better way is to ask RPi Cam Control developers, if they plan to add 3D video...

Re: Hardware power and transfering data
Hi Secondary, Video livestream is working out-of-the-box, and this is optimized solution now, as it uses Pi's GPU. So you can capture this stream and either record it, or foward to your Big Brother for processing. As for high-quality - it depends on your needs. You can set 10 or 20 MBit bitrate (H26...

Re: Not working cameras
Hi! First notice: our S.L.P. image uses the cameras all the time. So if you try to use raspistill you get an error like you have, as both S.L.P. and your raspistill instance will try to access cameras at the same time, and conflict appears. To avoid this, stop our scripts by running "stop.sh" here: ...

If you're talking about this project https://elinux.org/RPi-Cam-Web-Interface, then I dont think it will work out of the box. I did not played with this solution yet, but quick look at the code (https://github.com/silvanmelchior/RPi_Cam_Web_Interface) shows that they use raspimjpeg , and I did not f...

Re: Camera multiplexor crazy idea
JustSomeGuyTN, I know this multiplexor project, and it can be useful for some specific cases. You can find their software implementation guide here: https://github.com/ivmech/ivport-v2 As you might see, you'll need to do a serious coding work, and take into account StereoPi specific. As for your noI...

Hi all! Sorry for silence - I was forced to be offline for a several days. You can try to use external flash the same way as with the classic Raspberry Pi.
