Re: SLP: Root partition too small
Well, looks like I need to do a detailed Quick Start guide. It's hard to find a balance between brief manual with key points and TL;DR with all features described...

Re: ROS depth map error
Hi I am trying to get the example code on https://github.com/realizator/StereoPi-ROS-depth-map-test running but with the current Ubiquity image (12-02-2019) I am getting an error, "Camera is not enabled." The camera interface is enabled via raspi-config. Any ideas for help? Hello Minar, Please try ...

Re: Taki-style StereoPi assembly
Whoa!!! Final assembly looks fantastic! It's a pleasure for me to see the author of this assembly here on our forum! :-) We were curious, will you keep using plastic screw-nuts as on your first photos from Twitter. But now we see metal screws, and calmed down. :D By the way, what kind of camera do y...

Re: SLP: Root partition too small
Hi Taki, Some info for you: 1. Yep, we decreased partition size to smallest available size, so it can be uploaded to 4Gb eMMC. So it is 2 Gb only. 2. FS is read-only by default. Also Advanced users S.L.P. image Wiki might be helpful for you. 3. During the very first boot, system tries to format all ...

Re: Left and Right Cameras Reversed
Hi Rlhelsinki, We'll add this option in our next SLP update. Now you can use the solution I mentioned here . 1. "Camera" icon actually runs this script: /var/www/make_photo.php 2. Find row containing raspistill -3d sbs -o 3. Add "-cs 1" right after "raspistill", so you have: raspistill -cs 1 ... My ...

Re: Swap camera eyes?
Well, we'll add this option in admin panel in our nearest S.L.P. update. Right now you can do this trick. As you might now, "-3dswap" option does not work yet (mentioned here ). To swap cameras you need to add "-cs 1" option in your capture sequence. Our video-generating script is sitting here: /opt...

Re: StereoPi records only mono audio?
Hi StereoPipi, Well, your question is really unexpected for us! :-) We used mono mic only. But I can suggest a solution for you. This script is responsible for video record: opt/StereoPi/scripts/loop-record.sh If you open it, you can find recording row: ./bin/recorder -e udpsrc port=3003 buffer-size...

Re: can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?
Hi Gtoal, I did some tricks for you: 1. I wrote OpenCV image to 8 Gb micro SD 2. I connected it to Ubuntu computer and shrinked partition to ~3.5Gb, and recorded image file 3. This image was uploaded to CM3 (non +, non Lite) with 4 Gb eMMC 4. After boot on CM3, I used raspi-config to expand partitio...

Wow, great!
I'd like to add your experiments in our upcoming article!
By the way, are you using barrel undistortion option in SPM for wide-angle 160 degree lenses?
Could you also please share some photos (processed by SPM and ImageMagick, before and after processing)?

Re: GPIO Hat Connector
Hi Skeptikos, There are several reasons: 1. Big hats (like 3.5" screens you mentioned) has not enough space, as USB and Ethernet connectors will conflict with such a hats. 2. These hats also prevents from normal camera ribbons installation. 3. We suggest all such a hats will be installed on the oppo...

Re: can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?
Hi Gtoal, 1. As for OpenCV image download - I can try to put it on Torrent, so you can download it. File size is about 2.7 Gb, and 8Gb micro SD is needed to write it. If you can suggest other options - please let me know, and I will try to use another approach to share this image file. For example, ...

Re: Change the path for video recordings?
Yes, you can. Our start script is here: /opt/StereoPi/run.sh In this script we mount partition for video as a /media . sudo mount /dev/mmcblk0p3 /media > /dev/null 2>&1 So you can change mount rule according to your SSD name. Please also check our FAT32 format logic in this script. You may comment f...

Taki-style StereoPi assembly
I found this approach in this tweet , and decided to post it here on our forum. Tweet text: " Assembled (well almost) the @StereoPi that arrived early this week. I need some longer 2 mm screws, though... Then fix it within a casing and may the stereoscopic experiments begin! " Second tweet text: " S...

Re: 3d cam with mobile phone as viewfinder and controller
Stereomii, for video recordings we faced with occasionaly broken files. As a rule, I set video fragments length to 30 sec or 1 minute. You see, we use scripts in S.L.P. image for other users can to look inside and modify our code. But actually in this case we have no full control over video capture ...

Re: 3d cam with mobile phone as viewfinder and controller
Stereomii, I faced with some issue while using "-t 1" option. Looks like in this mode camera has not enough time to do right settings for photo capture. It is critical in a low light conditions. Here are two photos to demonstrate this. One taken with "-t 1" and another with "-t 1000". -t 1 https://w...

Hi DaveL, Focus problem is very old, as roots are at the factory tuning. 1. For V1 cameras there are lot of guides for focus tuning (like this one ) 2. With the V2 cameras Raspberry Pi adds one special thing, described here on Pi forum , right for this focus adjusting purpose. Actually, I found my V...

rlhelinski, I've added eMMC notice in "Basics" in our wiki, and also a comment for Linux users in "Uploading eMMC" section (point 5 in this text). If you have any suggestions or fixes for that articles - please let me know, and I will fix our guides.
