Re: Disparity map noise
Hey Sencis, 1. According to your first image, youer left and right images are swapped, or you are using the inverses colorizing pattern. With the defaul settings red color means nearby objects, and the dark blue means far objects. Please check this. 2. You can find that the building borders, as well...

Re: IMX219-83 Stereo Camera Waveshare
Hey stoffel61,
It just works, no special updates here.
I also found that the plastic base for the optics used on IMX219-83 is physically compatible with a few other Waveshare M12 cameras. I.e., you can swap them using just 2 screws on the back side of the camera.

Re: How to shutdown StereoPi
Hello srathinagiri, 1. The first methid is a software shutdown. You can use any command like "sudo poweroff" or shutdown. 2. The second method is hardware poweroff. We have a special jumper (marked as a "Power switch pins" at this diagram ). Or you can just disconnect the power cable. If you are pla...

Re: POE module
Hello ArtsNRG, Our module is built on si3402-b-gr, and the power output is ~13.5W Due to the chip shortage (and crazy price for this chip), we have not produced this module. Our voltage output is 5V, and it can be used separately (with RPi4, for example). The transformer we used is recommended one f...

Re: UV Filters are damaged
Hi David,
Yes, we have had some filters issues caused by the plastic bags.
Could you please send me more details (where you bought the kits, date, and the delivery address) to my email, and I'll manage the replacement shipment for you!
My email is [my nickname on this forum]@gmail.com

Re: HQ camera video resolution
Hi MatusisDrake, You have a few options here: 1. If you set 1920x1080 stereoscopic resolution with default settings, you will get 960x1080 cropped from each frame and stitched to the single 1920x1080 2. If you set 3840x1080, you will get two 1920x1080 from each camera. This works fine for the photo ...

Re: How to connect via WiFi
Hi srathinagiri, For the Ethernet you should not set any other parameters (like the country), it should "just work". By the way, when you are using the fresh SLP installation and boot the StereoPi, are you able to see the "cosmostreamer" WiFi access point from any of your devices? Is ACT_LED blinkin...

Re: USB-C power source
Hi dfarmernv, To say briefly, StereoPi's USB C hardware configuration always says to the USB C power source "hey, I need 5V!!!". So you can use any kind of USB C PSU. Please check it is able to provide the current you need (avoid cheap no-name items). JFYI, I'm successfully powering up my StereoPi V...

Hey Phowe,
In 90% of cases of ENOSPC error, the issue is in the lack of GPU memory.
What is the "gpu_mem" value in your config.txt?

Re: Gstreamer Pipeline from Mac to Pi
Hi Phowe, Wow, congrats on your implementation success! As for the two cameras - I have a few ideas to check 1. Please check that you are using the correct dt-blob, and your system can see two cameras by vcgencmd get_camera 2. I took a look at your code here . You see, choosing the camera is not the...

Re: Gstreamer Pipeline from Mac to Pi
Hi phowe, Wow, this is the rabbit hole! But, to say the truth, if it works - it is the fastest solution possible, as is it using the most powerful (and underused) part of the Pi - QPU. I see the only potential issue here. A quick look at the code shows that it relies on MMAL stack, which is about to...

Re: V2 HQ Housing Assembly Focus issue
Hi dnaman, Well, that's the difference between the universal tool (with interchangeable lenses option) and the usecase-optimized solution. If you are focused on using 6mm lenses only, adjusting the mounting plate for your specific case may be the best way. Is it possible to buy the mounting plate(s)...

Re: Gstreamer Pipeline from Mac to Pi
Hello phowe, I also tried using the UDP protocol, but it was not working on my Wifi at home and I couldn't figure out why. This is a regular network magic to figure out. You should have the single network (not mixed with other sub-networks or bridges), check "wifi clients isolation" settings on your...

Re: Stereo Pi V2 with Ubuntu Mate 20.04
Hello karlfra, You need to choose the subsystem you are planning to use with the cameras. As you may know, RPF did dramatic changes in the video subsystem (announced here first, and more details later here .) To say briefly, you can either use the old mmal-based approach (using older kernel and firm...

Re: Using StereoPi Lite with RPi 4B
Louise, the short answer is no - it's impossible to use RPi4 instead of CM4. You can consider CM4 as a regular RPi4 with all connectors removed, reduced PCB, and a lot of special connectors exposed. So RPi4 is physically incompatible with the CM4 and can not be installed instead.

Re: Connecting StereoPi to other RPi modules (Compute Module 4 sold out in UK)
Hello Louise,
StereoPi is using the particular version of Raspberry Pi, the CM4. Unfortunately, you can't use the regular Raspberry Pi instead of CM4
CM4 is difficult to find these days (chipageddon is not over yet). But if you buy the StereoPi V2 Camera Kit, it includes CM4.
