Where are the photos?
Hi, since very long time the StereoPI V2 package(deluxe kit) arrived I finally found some time to assemble and run it. Today I downloaded the latest SLP image and put it onto the SD card using the etcher software. The connection to my WiFi router works well and I can access the Web UI and see left a...

Hi,
is here any update? I still need an autofocus camera with a very large depth of field and FOV of 50.

How to detect focus using HQ cam
Hi, I am stereo photographer and currently working with a camera pair of two Ixus860 to take stereo images. I am only interested in taking images no movies. The images later on I view with this kind of viewer: https://i.imgur.com/NUadKOX.png Since this camera pair is getting older I wanted to replac...

StereoPI V2 - how to trigger a flash light?
Hi, I ordered StereoPI V2, and I want to be well prepared if shipment arrives ;-). Since I want to use the StereoPI V2 only for still images I need a flash for low light situations. Is there any way to trigger a flash? Typical flash shoes have one middle contact which is to pull to ground to trigger...

Are there cables available for wider basis?
Hi, the StereoPI V2 has connectors for two cams. These connectors are aligned horizontally in a certain distance. I want to built a camera with flexible basis so I need to move the cams horizontally to the desired distance. The problem is one can bend the flat cable only in one direction, as it is f...

StereoPi v2 Camera Kit how to use only one oscillator for better sync
Hi, I did it - I ordered StereoPi v2 Camera Kit! Yeah  OK - until shipment arrives I want to use the time to get more familiar with StereoPI. I want to use StereoPI V2 only for still images. And I want to shoot fast moving objects like motor bikes, cars, fire and flames, breaking waves, etc. So...

Re: Some questions before pledging V2
Hi, thanks again. I took a deeper look in the Arducam's python code snippet they use to do the focus. They use some keys on keyboard and send commands via i2c to the cam to change focus. I think I can adapt it to use GPIOs. https://i.imgur.com/HySxPuVh.png It seems they rely on the builtin function ...

Re: Some questions before pledging V2
Hi Realizator, thanks for quick response. To make it clear, I can use the Arducam IMX477 with their Autofocus system together with StereoPI - right? I know that autofocus needs some time since it is a mechanical part, but thats fine. I can wait until both cams have finished autofocusing and then do ...

Re: Some questions before pledging V2
Hi Realizator, yes stereomaton did a great job! built-in hardware sync feature Wow - that sounds really great - thanks! OK lets assume I will go with the HQ cams, there is no pledge for it (including CM4) - right? What is the exact camera Item No. or description for this HQ cam? Is it IMX477? If yes...

Re: Some questions before pledging V2
Hi stereomaton, thanks for your detailed reply and sorry that you had to do it twice. So it seems StereoPI could be a basis to start from. What I still concern is the synchronization. Currently I use two Canon IXUS 860 synched by https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/CHDK which gives me a very good synchroni...
