Re: viewing stereo images on the web site

Hi Graham, I'm still in paradox mode. I suggest that actual left camera image has specific features, as it "sees" more features at the left part of an object. The same with the right, as it is projection to the plane from other point of view. So it is a quest for me to understand, how your ...

Android: Can't set H264 decoder

I'm having real problems getting the stereopi to make and maintain a wifi connection. (I don't know if this is a factor, but my wifi system is a pi3 running a wireless bridge - this has the advantage that I can tcpdump all the traffic to any device, which isn't possible with an off-the-shelf NAT wif...

Re: viewing stereo images on the web site

Yes, I can confirm that the first big image does indeed have depth inversion for me, and on the triple image, I see it correctly only when using the two on the right. I presume you see it properly using the two on the left. That style works for 'wall-eyed' free viewing or when using a Holmes-like vi...

viewing stereo images on the web site

I've noticed that the stereo images that are posted here are usually in "wall-eyed" or "side-by-side" format. At lot of us - possibly the majority from surveys I've seen - find it very hard to freeview in side-by-side format, and much easier to view in 'cross-eyed' format. Consequently when I view s...

Re: can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?

While waiting for the mail-order CM3lite to arrive, I decided to have a go at writing the 4Gb image to the eMMC in the CM3 (non-lite). (The module has printed on the back "Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3" "2015 Version 1.0") I unplugged the power supply, the keyboard/monitor, the cameras - just leavin...

Re: can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?

Appreciate that you built an image for me (and other 4Gb CM users)! I'll try it today.

Спаси́бо большо́е!

Re: can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?

Hi Gtoal, 1. As for OpenCV image download - I can try to put it on Torrent, so you can download it. File size is about 2.7 Gb, and 8Gb micro SD is needed to write it. If you can suggest other options - please let me know, and I will try to use another approach to share this image file. For example,...

Re: can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?

After some more messing around, some of which may not have been needed in hindsight (i.e.: sudo apt-get install lightdm sudo apt install raspberrypi-ui-mods sudo pip3 install opencv-python sudo apt-get install libatlas-base-dev libjasper-dev libqtgui4 libqt4-test sudo apt install libqt4-test sudo ap...

can't run tutorial example... what did I miss?

New stereopi user here - just started today so this is likely a newbie problem... Hooked up StereoPi with 4Gb CM module. Using the pre-installed Rasbian that came with CM module, not the SLP image. (still downloading, I have a pretty slow internet connection) Updated, upgraded, and rpi-upgraded. Ins...
