Camera multiplexor crazy idea
So I came across this board https://www.tindie.com/products/ivmech/ivport-v2-raspberry-pi-camera-multiplexer/ My understanding is that this basically turns multiple cameras into one signal for the raspberry pie. So here's what I'm wondering. Could I use two of these to combine a noIR camera with a r...

Re: Support plate mounting hardware
I bought a set of stand offs from Amazon previously that has some m2 in various lengths. It's a good thing to have around when doing projects.

USB Header pinout?
This might be a dumb question but does anyone have diagram for the USB header? What I want to have eventually is to go from the USB header to a USB C plug which I am going to use a SanDisk 500GB portable SSD with.

Watch / Android app controlled 3D video camera
So this is my main purpose for purchase of the StereoPi. I plan on 3D printing a case to hold the StereoPi, Battery, a Pimoroni eink screen, and SD card in a chest pocket on a Columbia lightweight vest. The case will be shaped like an upside down J with the short leg holding the cameras and the eink...

Re: Anyone have a good reference for Bluetooth LE?
My idea was basically just short commands from phone to StereoPi. Basically start recording, stop recording, change eink picture. No major data transmission, probably just 1 byte max. Might have a status byte go the other way, from StereoPi to phone. I'm still in the planing stages as I want to wait...

Re: BitRate's and File sizes?
Yeah, i am planning on something battery powered that I can have in a vest pocket. Rough idea is a small eink screen in between the two cameras outside the pocket. The stereopi board, battery, and thumb drive in a rectangle case inside the pocket. Sort of like an upside down J. I have already gotten...

Anyone have a good reference for Bluetooth LE?
I've been looking a bit but I haven't found anything yet that looks like a good best practices example of doing a Bluetooth Low Energy client or server in Python 3. I found one that was pretty good but they were using their own library so alot of the code was buried and hidden.

Batteries and typical power consumtion?
Is there any documentation yet on typical power consumption? Specifically what I am looking at is recording 3D to a USB thumb drive on the StereoPi for 8 hours. There will potentially be some bluetooth transmission because I want to control the StereoPi with an Android app on my phone. I will have t...

Re: BitRate's and File sizes?
Thanks Realizator, That's alot less space than what I was thinking I would need. I am thinking now I will use around a 64GB thumb drive as those can be had fairly cheaply and I will swap out the drives at the end of each day.

BitRate's and File sizes?
Anyone know what sort of file size we can look for 1080p 60fps for each camera? I am looking toward using the stereopi to record around 8 hours at good enough quality to be viewed later on a Samsung GearVR.
