Re: Stereopi-based prototype/product

Hello, Our project is open-source, and published under the Apache 2.0 license (here is the link to the license in the V1 schematic GitHub repo). We'll publish V2 schematic soon under a similar license. To say briefly, you can use it, keeping copyright notes. As for the cooperation - you can write us...

Re: HQ camera video resolution

Hello natxopedreira,
HQ cameras support up to 12 Mpix, but the Raspberry Pi Compute Module has hardware limitations for the video encoder.
You can get up to 30-40 FPS for the stereoscopic FullHD for the H264 video.
With MJPEG you can get a resolution like ~2400x1200, but with lower FPS (5-10).

Re: Fresh Raspbian Image Start-up

Hi RoggieC, If SLP works fine, then hardware part is Ok. Let's check some settings. I have a few things to check on the top of my mind: 1. Please check you enabled the cameras in the fresh Raspberry OS install. This can be done over GIU, or from the terminal (sudo raspi-config). 2. The file in our W...

Re: StereoPi Slim Edition USB Issues

Which OS are you using? If it's SLP, is this v1 or v2? As the basic troubleshooting, you can try to install the fresh stock Raspbian, screen drivers, and your dongle drivers and check, if it works on the regular Pi. After that just insert this card to the StereoPi. If USB WiFi works, it means that e...

Re: StereoPi Slim Edition USB Issues

Hi Kvic, I planned to write the troubleshooting guide, but your issue is already solved :-) Yep, all our 3 USB outputs at the PCB are simple connection points. So you can either connect the wires to them, or use USB connector for this. In comparison with Ethernet RJ45 connector (which are having ver...

Re: Wifi TL-WN725N

Hello lccotta, SLP has a read-only filesystem by default for filesystem safety purposes. TO unlock it, you can follow the guide in the advanced users' section of our Wiki . To say briefly, right after login enter two commands: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo mount -o rw,remount /boot After that file...

darkmoon3d answers are "yes" and "yes".
We'll try to keep price the same for a few months, but current market issues (like price jumps 20-30 times, as mentioned in our last update) can force us to increase prices at the end of Summer. We'll do our best to keep them at the current level.

Re: USB not functioning after some hours and need to reset the pi

Hello parsaee_m, When your Pi is losing the WiFi connection and USB are not working, could you please check the Ethernet port is still working? If not - it means StereoPi switched power mode to a special one, and the USB/LAN hub is powered off. In 99% cases this is caused by overheat. Are you using ...

Re: Dual camera with CM4 and CM4IO

Hello MarcelC, Well, the brutlal force usually works, but this is the brutal force :-) You see, when pins are not assigned correctly, the system is not able to do a camera reset and other options needed for the appropriate function. I attached our dt-blob.bin file. This is the latest version, compat...

Re: Access to raw data

Hello Rkalghatgi, Yes, it is accessible. If you'll use Python, you can use the PiCamera library to access the frames data. WIth the C you can use either mammal approach, or pipe approach, or direct access to the video of each camera (but in this case streams are not synchronized). You can find some ...

Re: JST conector type

Hi Alex, 1. You should have two cables with JST connector soldered in the plastic bag with your StereoPi as a spare part. We put them in each board's bag (regardless of the other kit content). 2. Exact connector type name is "JST EHR-2". Some links: Digikey Octopoart 3. As a workaround you can use t...

Re: trigger multiple pi's to take image

You can consider StereoPi as the Raspberry Pi with 2 cameras. I.e. you can use all software designed for the classic Raspberry Pi, plus use the second camera option. So your way (test the code on the Pi and then run it on StereoPi) is correct!

Re: Oculus Quest 1/2 application

Hi Neilpstevenson,
For the app version available for download we used the latest Oculus SDK, where GO support is already turned off. But we’ll try to compile this app with the older Unity and OVR package to run it on Go. Our early version was tested on all mobile Oculus (Go, Quest 1 and Quest 2).

Re: Raspberry reboot yourself

Hey Dragon, In 99% of cases of a reboot under high load, the reason is the lack of power of the power source (not enough current provided). We recommend using at least 2A PSU (and Raspberry says at least 2.4A). It is better to get a well-known (branded) power supply, as with the no-name and declared...

Re: Livestreaming to a web

Hi AlexVega, Congratulations! :-) As for raspivid and "-fs" key. As we mentioned, we compiled a special version of raspivid from source to add one feature, which is not available in stock raspivid. Original (stock) raspivid can't display stereoscopic preview on HDMI screen. So we added "-fs" option,...
