Re: StereoPi to Oculus Go direct WiFi connection

Hi Eddie, I'm glad you have some success here! I think we'll add AP support in our next SLP release for advanced users, to simplify all that settings. As for your /run/hostapd.conf question - this is a temporary directory used for the boot process. You can save your config file in another place (lik...

Re: Camera 1 not detected

Hi Chansec,
As I understand you've tried all possible troubleshooting approaches, so no need to add some more tests. I've wrote you direct email (to the email address you used for registering on this forum) to discuss replacement details. Please answer.

Re: Raspividyuv stereo

Hi Michael93, Actually this is not my tutorial, I just found this code at GitHub. :-) I have several notices here: 1. Actually, raspividyuv has not stereoscopic support. It was added several months ago, and to add it to your Raspbian you need to do sudo rpi-update 2. 250 FPS is too fast for the ster...

Re: Want to build a 4 eye camera for lenticular

Hi 3D-holgi, You can sync a couple of StereoPi's by GPIO, this is the easiest way. Ideal way is to use external "timer" like Arduino, which sends two signals by GPIO to both StereoPi, and they did a photo. I mentioned this approach in a one of our updates here . Another way is to use one StereoPi as...

Re: StereoPi to Oculus Go direct WiFi connection

Well, I did some experiments, but no luck at this moment, as my dongle has no AP support. Will try to find appropriate one and repeat this. I had tried to run hostapd manually. May be this can help in your case, as your dongle supports AP. - stop all LAN_run options (comment it in a scriot) - I did ...

Bchamp, do not forget to unlock a filesystem before changes! Also we have MC installed in SLP, so you can use it if you like.

Re: usb storage

Hi Bchamp, For the recordings we use a script "loop-record.sh", which is sitting here: /opt/StereoPi/scripts/loop-record.sh The second row in this file contains a path for recordings: RECPATH=/media/DCIM So you can make automount of your USB flash dongle, and put a path to your recordings folder in ...

Is it even possible to accomplish close to zero audio latency?
WIth the video we can have 120-150ms latency with the 3 Mbit bitrate. Bandwidth needed for audio is 50-100 times smaller, so theoretically we can have a tiny latency. It depends on software and settings.

Re: Problems using the Android app with Android hotspot and an edimax wifi dongle

directive0, please try the last test: swap the camera with the ribbons (but not only camera modules). We need to check, if it is a camera or a ribbon issue. You see, camera connection schematic is a very simple (I mentioned this schematics fragment in this post ). It means, that all cameras pins are...

Re: CSI interface and i2c bus

Hmmm, I was unable to find sources of libarducam_mipicamera.so I just found a notice here , that they are based on https://github.com/6by9/raspiraw/ (native RPi camera application). But I don't think it is a good idea for you to write your own driver from scratch. According to mentioned comment in p...

Re: Livestream: audio and scaling?

FKED, I'm not a guru in a sound part, but for reducing a latency I'd look into buffers details and real-time system priority features. For example, at the bottom of this page you can find some notices on low-latency. This notice concerns both buffer size and priority (--sced flag), able to dramatica...

Re: StereoPi to Oculus Go direct WiFi connection

Hi Eddie and Stereomaton, To say briefly, I'm not recommend to do direct connection. It is better to use external device like router, or you can use your phone as access point to connect both Oculus and StereoPi to phone's access point. Why it is not a good idea to run access point (according to our...

Re: CSI interface and i2c bus

Delgoodie, I think you're one step away from the result. You need to look inside Arducam driver. I have no your Arducam cameras, so can not make this part by myself. But I can suggest, that there are two ways: 1. Modify Arducam driver and functions to work with the second camera, and use it together...

Re: 3d Video Livestream

Hi Cmazzoli,
Actually SLP has buitl-in feature for RTSP livestream, and you can use it for livestreaming to youtube. The procedure is very simple, so we did not created separate article for this, but added a quick manual here in our Wiki:

Re: Livestream: audio and scaling?

FKED, if your approach with the separate Pi and microphones will work, we can help you to settle your code and mics to the StereoPi near our scripts as a next step. I can suggest this sound workflow should not affect on a video processing part.

Some lost pictures

Several weeks ago we've updated our main website and changed a hosting provider. I've found, that in some my answers attached images has broken links, and that images are not displayed (as images was uploaded to our old hosting provider). At this moment I've fixed all issues I was able to find, but ...

Wow, Stereomaton, thank you for your detailed answer!
Angelyn.mercado, I'm glad you've solved your problem!
My two cents: in our practice the most frequent UART connection problem was different grounds of RPi and Arduino (or APM/Pixhaxk devices).

Delgoodie, so you can get camera working on the 1st CSI and I2C0 and second CSI with the I2C1. It's great, and it meant all your hardware (including I2C1 soldering) is Ok. Now let's dig into software part. Could you please tell me, how you're capturing images from each camera separately, and from bo...
