Re: Saving high quality 3D video on linux with gst-launch?

chbla, your use case is new for us :)
Could you please share a few photos taken with and without this mirror glass?
Also, could you please share a few details about this glass? Is this specific item (with some IR/UV filter features)?

Re: ir filter.. protective film?

Wow... I never saw the CM500 filters in the condition of items that are on the left side of your photo... We got CM500 filters directly from the HOYA company (Japan), and they are packed in trays (look at the photo). hoya_cm500_tray_2.jpg I can't remember any films or other items attached. They shou...

Re: Saving high quality 3D video on linux with gst-launch?

Huh, exposure should definitely work. Have you assembled the kit with the screen? The best way to see how exposure works is to look at the screen whilst changing the light conditions. BTW, our experience says that mp4mux is often doing the bad files. We used this approach first, but later switched t...

Re: Saving high quality 3D video on linux with gst-launch?

Hi Chiba, Looks like you are getting the raw h264 stream, which has no video information inside. That's why you can face difficulties with FPS and even scrolling the video file in VLC. To "normalize" the recorded file you should put it into a container (like mp4). This is a very fast process with no...

Re: SLP2 FAQ

SLP2 is the special version of Cosmostreamer RaspiOS, focused on stereoscopic features. If you install the cosmostreamer-ng-*.csuf, you'll get the Cosmostreamer image without the specific StereoPi settings, which is useless. It is better to install only the stereopi-*.csuf update files. All links on...

Re: How to troubleshoot startup

Hi 01binary, You can find step-by-step guide for the StereoPi v2 and Camera Kit on our WIki. To do the very basic troubleshooting I recommend disconnecting all components from the StereoPi except the CM4 and micro SD. 1. Check you put the power jumper https://wiki.stereopi.com/images/4/49/Power-swit...

Re: mouse and keyboard not working

Hi Shigure, For the StereoPi v2, you can use any method of power, and this does not affect the USB status. But CM4 requires this row to be added to /boot/config.txt to enable the USB hub: dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host PLEASE NOTE: this row is already added to config.txt files in our SLP2 and OpenCV im...

Re: Cameras supported=0 detected=0

Hi atrunyan,
" supported=0" means the system was not able to find the dt-blob.bin file
Could you please check that:
1. You got the latest dt-blob bin file
2. You unzipped the file before putting it to the /boot partition

Re: StereoPi Issue - Right camera input displaying magenta in hotspots

Guys, looks like RPF is not planning to fix this issue (as 6by9 told here ). My investigation shows that magenta cast can be fixed by after-processing. We need to increase G to the maximum for any RGB point, where R and B > 249 and G>207. I checked this approach with all photos in this thread, and i...

Re: V2 HQ Housing Assembly Focus issue

p.s. Here is the photo which can clarify the 6mm lens adjustment margin. This feature in not obvious from the official datasheet for this lens. Look at the left lens here:

I mean other lenses might have the same "feature" of extra adjustment.

Re: V2 HQ Housing Assembly Focus issue

joedevivo, you intrigued me with your 6mm lenses issue. Did you try to tighten the iris fixing screw and rotate the very top ring after that? This adds one more level of focus freedom for the 6mm lens :-) Could you please share a photo of the 6mm lenses installed? In my photo, you can see two 6mm le...

Re: sync camera timing precisely XVS test points on multiple rPi's

Hi 3DStereoPhoto, At first, you found the key topic on Raspberry Forum for HQ cameras sync. :-) So: 1. Choose the camera you are planning to use as a Master. If you choose CAM0 - this connector is near the USB C port. CAM1 connector is closer to micro SD card slot. Both camera connectors have a name...

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image

Hi glowingskull, Wow, you have a tricky task. To say briefly, not all HDMI screens are supported by Raspberry Pi OS out-of-the-box. In some cases, you should manually set the correct scxreen resolution and mode inside the config.txt file. You can take a look at the official documentation from Raspbe...

"Official" 6mm lens (recommended by RPF) are CS-mount, and they are working fine with the HQ housing without C-CS adaptor ring.

Re: V2 HQ Housing Assembly Focus issue

joedevivo, long story short - 8mm. When you fully screw in a 16mm lens using the 8mm ring, you get a good focus with the approximate "middle" position of the "far-near" regulation ring on the lens. It means you have some reserve for adjusting the focus in both directions. I prefer using the smaller ...

Re: V2 kit assembly questions

dnaman, you can swap/flip/rotate camera from the administration panel (link to the description in our Wiki ). The easiest way to check which camera is where is to put a finger in front of one of the cameras and look at the screen. Please put a finger in front, but not on the camera lens :) Do not fo...

Re: V2 HQ Housing Assembly Focus issue

Hi joedevivo, The issue is that the 16mm lens is C-mount, and has a different working distance. You can notice that HQ camera has a special black ring to adjust this distance, and this led to difficult solution with additional components and threads. The easiest solution is to use an appropriate C-C...

Re: V2 kit assembly questions

Hi dnaman, Drop-down numbers are GPIO numbers. To simplify the first connection, we draw a connection diagram in this section of the Wiki . Right after the diagram, you can find the photo of the pins used for the button connection. As for the upside-down screen, we discussed the solution in this top...
