Using a JST plug to power the StereoPi v2: what do I need to know?
What sort of power do I need to put into the JST plug? Is 5.2V at 1A from something like the Adafruit PowerBoost 1000C sufficient, or do I need to supply more amps? Do I need to worry about overcurrent protection on the StereoPi v2's JST connection? I've seen comments saying you shouldn't supply 5V ...

PiSugar Support on StereoPi 2?
Has anyone attempted to use a PiSugar power supply with the StereoPi 2 board? https://github.com/PiSugar/PiSugar/wiki#function-comparison I know that the pogo pin connection method won't work for the StereoPi 2, since the CM4 covers the underside of the GPIO header, but I figure that can be worked a...

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
At the advice of someone in #raspberrypi on libera.chat, I tried a different monitor. I didn't change any settings in `/boot/config.txt`, so the pi's portrait video output was horribly distorted to fit my monitor's landscape shape. That was expected. root@stereopi:~# cd /opt/Cosmostreamer-NG/ root@s...

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
What I'd really like to do is customize what shows on the attached HDMI screen at boot. I found the setting in the web admin Menu > Camera Settings > Camera > 3d Mode > TB, which got the video into the desired top/bottom configuration. There's an option in Menu > Camera Settings > Video > Resolution...

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
I was following the instructions in https://stereopi.com/blog/diy-vr-headset-stereopi-10-ms-latency-just-135 to try to get the rotated display output. Notably, this command: ./raspivid -3d tb -w 720 -h 1280 -fs -t 10000 That command as specified gives me an output on the screen, but it contains heav...

Re: Where does the SLPv2 image find its list of display modes?
Moot thread.
I've solved this problem by specifying the mode I needed in. Further details are in viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1240&p=3083#p3083

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
https://learn.adafruit.com/using-weird-displays-with-raspberry-pi/everything-else and the EDID dump at https://www.edid.tv/edid/1135/ got me the contents I needed: hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080 hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_cvt=1440 2560 50 Thankfully, I didn't need to provide a nonstandard aspect ra...

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
Okay, so doing that got a different set of options available in the dropdowns, but none of the modes there are actually functional. Even powercycling the screen between mode switches doesn't get me anything other than black screen.

[MOOT] Where does the SLPv2 image find its list of display modes?
https://wiki.stereopi.com/images/thumb/3/39/Device-settings-display-main-display.png/1600px-Device-settings-display-main-display.png The main display settings show a list of video output modes (HDMI, CVBS), and when HDMI is chosen, a list of HDMI modes. Where does that list of HDMI modes come from?...

Re: Vertical Shift between left and right image
I have a minor vertical shift between the left and right images. It sounds like we both have a physical misalignment of the cameras relative to each other. I would suggest resettling them on the backplate.

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
The stereopi.local web console doesn't work for this; it's too resource-constrained. I had to ssh in with: username: root password: root The screen I have is https://www.edid.tv/edid/1135/ which has a few more pixels than the one used on your blog post. I was able to get an EDID dump from the monito...

Re: Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
The display_rotate parameter noted in this blog post doesn't seem to work; I've tried it on a couple of different monitors and settings versions and the signal has been displayed the same on both this screen and on a standard desktop monitor. So I'll keep playing with the other options in that file.

Customization of HDMI output modes on SLP image
I've plugged my SLP2 card into my StereoPi2, and used the web admin to configure the board to output a video stream of HDMI 1920x1080@60p (CEA 16:9 mode 16) The display I'm using is a 2560x1440 screen sourced off of Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0826YHTLM The problem that I am having is...
